1. About PersonalFLOW

PersonalFLOW is a desktop contact management application developed by Olivier Schaer. It is licensed as open-source software under the European Union Public Licence v1.2 (EUPL). These terms govern your use of this website and any early-access or alpha software distributed through it.

2. Alpha Software

PersonalFLOW is in active development. As alpha software, it may:

• Contain bugs, incomplete features, or unexpected behaviour
• Change significantly between versions, including breaking changes
• Lose stored data during upgrades in rare cases

We recommend keeping regular backups of your application data folder. We are not liable for data loss resulting from software defects during the alpha period.

3. Open-Source Licence

The PersonalFLOW desktop application is licensed under the EUPL v1.2. You are free to use, study, modify, and distribute the software under the terms of that licence. These Terms of Service do not restrict or replace the rights granted by the EUPL — they apply to your use of this website and early-access distribution only.

4. Website and Waitlist

By submitting your email address to the waitlist or early-access programme, you agree that:

• We may contact you about PersonalFLOW updates and early access
• You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send
• We will handle your email address as described in our Privacy Policy

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this website or the software to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Scrape, probe, or attack our infrastructure
• Distribute malware or harmful content through any integrations
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others

6. No Warranty

PersonalFLOW is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — express or implied. We do not guarantee that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. This is consistent with the warranty disclaimer in the EUPL v1.2.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of PersonalFLOW or this website, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

8. Third-Party Services

This website relies on the following third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their own terms:

• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — email delivery
• Google Sheets API — waitlist data storage

The desktop application itself makes no network requests unless you explicitly enable an integration (e.g., Gmail).

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will post the updated version here with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
